Gruen Precision - Warm Patina Dial - Made in France Caseback - Circa 1956

Offered here is a classic Gruen Precision manual-wind wristwatch dating to approximately 1956, a strong example of Gruen's clean mid-century design language.

The watch features a soft warm silver dial with honest age and patina, applied hour markers and matching hands, giving it the restrained, balanced look that defines many of Gruen's better post-war dress models. It has an easy everyday vintage presence without losing period character.

The case shows honest age and use, including visible plating loss to the gold-tone areas, visible in the photographs. The stainless screw-back caseback is marked with period wording including Shock Resistant, Anti-Magnetic, and Waterproof as originally advertised. The inner caseback is marked Made in France, a nice period detail. Inside is a Gruen Watch Co. signed Swiss 17-jewel movement, marked N510SS, consistent with a mid-to-late 1950s production window. The watch winds, sets, and runs. It is fitted on a black NATO strap.
