Benrus Citation Rolled Gold Plated - 3 Star - Flag - 1961 - Fully Serviced

Top-of-line rolled-gold-plated Benrus from 1961 with a stunning copper-colored automatic movement and Art Deco “12.” The linen dial is in exceptional condition, and this example is a rare dual-logo variant featuring both Benrus’s three-star emblem and the tricolor shield. Beautiful dauphine hands with attractive aged lume. Case is in good condition for its age with light scuffs and scratches; please review the photos. Comes on a cognac leather strap that complements the dial.

Benrus was founded in New York in 1921 by the Lazrus brothers, Romanian immigrants who built the brand into a post-war staple and a noted military supplier. Collectors often read the red/yellow/blue shield as a nod to that heritage, while the three-star crest appears on higher-grade civilian lines as a Benrus emblem.

As this is a serviced watch it comes with a limited warranty. This warranty does not cover anything related to the case, dial, hands, crystal, pushers/crown, bracelet/strap, or cosmetic condition, and it excludes any issue caused by external factors, including but not limited to impact or dropping, case damage of any kind, shock, improper use, tampering or attempted repair by anyone other than me, water or moisture exposure, humidity/condensation, magnetism, corrosion, loss of parts, or any other accidental or intentional damage. Any shipping costs associated with warranty service are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
