Buy in Person — Los AngelesAbout This Watch
A beautifully preserved 1940s Omega ladies' wristwatch featuring a striking rectangular stainless steel case and a gilt-printed black dial with gold numerals and minute track. Black dial Omegas are considerably rarer than white dial watches from the 1940s, as they carried a higher production cost and were made in far smaller numbers. The warm tone of the gilt print contrasts elegantly against the dark dial, creating a subtle Art Deco aesthetic that has aged with honest, even patina.
Powered by Omega's Calibre 244, a manual-wind movement dating to approximately 1943 to 1945, the watch is running. The movement presents cleanly with bright finishing. A faceted crystal adds dimensionality and vintage character, complemented by shell-style lugs and a matching stainless bracelet. Together, these details capture the early postwar Omega design language, refined, balanced, and timelessly wearable.
Terms: Please review all photos carefully as they are a part of the listing. This is a vintage timepiece. Accuracy, power reserve, and water resistance are not guaranteed. Vintage watches may require periodic service. Performance can vary with wear, temperature, and position.
